Final Countdown...

How are you all doing? I'm sure you have been busy with all the last minute details for Christmas. We finally were able to get everyone together for the Christmas card photo. It was sooooo much easier this year. Jenny's (youngest daughter's) boyfriend snapped the photo and it was so much easier to smile at a person instead of having one of us set the timer and run to their place! We only took about 40 photos to get it right...and it only took about 15 or 20 minutes! Usually we take well over 100 and it takes at least an hour because we have to set the timer! It's difficult to get one photo where everyone likes how they look! And...we were still all in a good mood when we finished! Yay! Is is just us or does this happen at your house too???

All of the gifts that need to be shipped are in the mail!! Did that last Friday!
Yesterday I made pumpkin bread and I wrapped up some buckeyes for the neighbors. Going to give those out this evening.

I don't have too much left to do, maybe another batch of buckeyes and some cookies...and wrap gifts. EXCEPT...we still don't have a gift for my oldest daughter! The girl has everything....a car, an ipod, a laptop, a great camera. The only thing she could think of that she wanted was a book that takes a month to order, and some Jeffrey Cambell shoes. Seriously, the darn things are $170 and I'm not sure I can get them here in time.
Gonna have to get something today! This is the first time I've had this trouble!
Hope you all are hanging in there and not stressing too much!
Ok, so the question I have for you is...are you all finished or do you still have lots to do? I would love to hear about it!

Thanks for stopping by

Pam

  4. Hi Pam- I did a marathon this weekend of wrapping gifts and getting the ones that had to be shipped in boxes. Off to UPS they went this morning. I gotta say my back is a little sore now! We never did the family portrait thing, but I wish we had. Your girls are just beautiful, and you and your husband look soo good! Can you believe I've never had a buckeye? They look good! Merry Christmas!

P.S.- I've never owned a pair of shoes that cost $170 before! But I do remember shoes being very important to me at that age too! If you order from Zappos they will make it on time, we've had terrific luck with them!

  5. I have some wonderful, yummy mixed nuts/cinnamon/sugar that I make every year and have fun finding new containers or pretty bags. But...this year, having just moved last week, they are yet to be made! Time is growing short and we owe some of our new neighbors for ALL the very nice and helpful things they have done for us here in the last few months. Well, maybe tomorrow!
North Carolina is wonderful and we are SO happy to be here!

  8. Great picture!! We do a family picture on Christmas Eve. We use the timer and I have to have the dog in the picture with us so that is always an interesting mix! I have to start wrapping. I have had gifts for the last month and a half, but I always wait until the last minute to wrap! We have a week planned of wrapping, baking, and making crafts! I love Christmas!

  10. Beautiful family Pam! I'm all done, just finished last week and am thrilled to have time this week to have lunch/coffee/wine with friends every night or afternoon this week. Such a relief to be done. (Sorry, hope that didn't sound like I was rubbing it in since you have a little left to do!)

Best of luck finishing everything and have the happiest of holidays!
