Changing Things Up

One of my next projects is to choose a paint color for the kitchen and breakfast room. I think I started on that way back in January/February when we painted our Dining Room. Don't you find it much easier to help someone else pick a paint color than to pick one for yourself???

In the meantime, I am starting to lighten up the accessories. This applique used to be white, but I painted it dark several years ago. I never really liked it this color, but it went with all the other dark accessories in the room.

Today I got out some creme acrylic paint and started painting. It took me about 10 minutes.

I rubbed the raised parts of the applique so that the paint underneath would show a little.

Now, if only picking a paint color for the room was this easy!

Hope you had a great weekend!

Pam

  2. I really like it lighter. It's a neat piece. Good luck on the paint colors. I'm thinking of going to the Parade of Homes and really checking out the walls. But, many times I get in those places and am so impressed with the other details, I forget everything I'm supposed to be looking at. :)
I hope you are having a great weekend!

  4. It takes me forever to choose a paint color! I always wonder-what does this color say? how does it make me feel? what will it look like in the am, in the pm? Then I paint a huge area and live with it for a week or so! But, once a decision is made, I'm happy! Good luck!

  6. I find picking paint colors very anxiety producing so i feel your pain. I love the Sherwin Williams color visualizer though, it helped tremendously when I was choosing colors a couple months ago. Have you tried that?
