Just Playin' Around...

Last year we gave our oldest daughter a Nikon D5000 (DSLR) camera for her graduation present. She was so surprised and happy with the gift and carries it with her everywhere. To our surprise, our youngest daughter, upon seeing it said that she would like one as well. That definitely made it easy for us!
When we were deciding what camera we were going to give our oldest daughter, Mr. Fanatic really liked Nikon. But having seen so many gorgeous photos taken by talented bloggers with a Canon Rebel, I really wanted  to get her a Canon.  Mr. Fanatic won out last year.

This year, I chose the camera, and for Jenny's graduation present this year we gave her a Canon Rebel T3.
Of course, I've been playing around with it and it takes some great photos. Not sure how I'm going to go back to my Powershot!
Here are some photos taken with the Canon, just on the auto setting:

I think I'm going to have to ask for one for a combined Christmas and Birthday present with some extra birthday money thrown in! Either that, or I'm going to have to sell something! Seriously!

Hope you are having a good day! It is really hot here!

  1. Uh Oh... you see...they're addictive but worth every penny!!! Get one so you and your daughter can share some great lenses...like a 50 mm or a long distance lens...better thought...get them for yourself...you deserve it. Me and My Canon...we're best buds...it has opened so many doors for me!!! I've even photographed our Governor and his wife!!!

  3. Beautiful Pam! I have a very inexpensive camera in comparison, but I have gotten very good at knowing how to operate it, lighting, etc. It really takes practice.
