Fall Tablescape

We usually eat at our bar in the kitchen because it's so convenient, but I like to keep the breakfast table set or at least covered with a tablecloth and a centerpiece.

Right now the centerpiece on the table is an iron pedestal with some gourds and sweet peppers from our garden. We planted two pepper plants this past March and they are still filled with peppers!

Here's another view:

The table is set for a simple fall meal...venison chili with cornbread or chicken stew with cheese toast would be perfect.

The table is set with our everyday things...Mikasa Italian Countryside dishes, Wallace Continental Bead flatware and green bowls from Target. Napkins were purchased at Homegoods several years ago.

The photos where the peppers are green were taken a few days ago.
I had some gold fabric left over and used it for a topper. The doily in the center under the iron pedestal was made by my grandmother and the burlap wrapped votives I made last year seem to go with everything!

Happy Fall Ya'll!

  3. Pam, this looks great! My husband just brought in a bell pepper over the weekend. His plants are still producing, as well. By the way, what time is dinner?? LOL!

  4. Your tablescape looks fabulous. I love the colors and all of the linens are wonderful. We use to eat at the bar all the time also, now we eat at the table, so I have to move anything pretty, kind of a pain. I still like to have it look nice though. Yours looks so warm and inviting. I just made a huge pot of chili, this tablescape would have been perfect. Hugs, Marty

  7. The tablescape is very inviting, but my eye was drawn to the beautiful doily that your grandmother made. I can tell you that it is a treasure and should be a family heirloom. She spent a great amount of time on the work of art.
