Giving Thanks

With Thanksgiving Day quickly approaching, I've been thinking about how blessed we are.

This week, I added to the simple tablescape I set up last week.
I was cleaning out the pantry when I came across the fall chargers that I bought at Walmart last year. Thought they'd look good with my everyday Mikasa Italian Countryside and the salad plates I found at Marshall's many years ago.

The bell peppers were picked from my garden today. The plants are producing their last little gems. I think they are works of art in and of themselves, especially the tops. (should have taken a close up of them)
They are so easy to grow and produce quite a bit on each plant. I planted two and they've provided more than enough for our family. I highly recommend that everyone growing at least one plant next year. They're so easy and are a nice looking plant.

Here's a closeup of the detail on the charger.

The glasses are vintage "Boopie" from Anchor Hocking.

It's an absolutely gorgeous day today here in the Carolinas.
Hope you are counting your blessings today, too.

Pam

  17. Isn't it wonderful how we can find works of art in simple, everyday items like green peppers? Truly...there is art all around us - a lot of it for absolutely free - that we sometimes forget about. Beautifully displayed!

  18. I was so excited to see your chandelier. I bought the same one in an antique mall in Blue Ridge, GA a couple of weeks ago. I saw it as soon as I walked in the door hanging in the back of the store. I knew it was THE ONE the minute I saw it. I can't wait to get it hung now that I have seen your's hanging. Your home is lovely and you will be in my favorites from now on.
