Lovely Hydrangeas

Hydrangeas are blooming all over the place around here. I never get tired of looking at them.

I added a bunch of them to the table in my breakfast room.  This week the table is set for four.

Did you know that hydrangeas are easily propagated? I saw it on Pinterest and Heirloom Gardener had some great directions on how to do it. The breakfast room is the perfect place to give it a try.

I cut up a few plastic bottles to keep the soil moist. This window only  gets a little direct sunlight in the morning, so they won't get too hot.

I'm not sure how long it takes, but I sure would like to have some of these growing in my yard. These gorgeous beauties are from the other side of my veggie garden in my neighbor's yard. She brought me over a bunch the last time I gave her some home grown veggies.

Hydrangeas would make any table look great.

  2. I love hydrangeas! Your cuttings look beautiful on your table Pam, such a gorgeous color! We have quite a few hydrangea bushes along the side of our house, but I just bought a new one and planted it on our pool deck, it's called the forever blooming hydrangea and the flower is a little different. I can't wait to see it when it gets bigger.

  7. I planted a beautiful pink hydrangea earlier in the year. I should've just put it in a vase in the house to enjoy because it appears to be dead, dead, dead! I can't decide if I'll try again next year.
