Thanksgiving Tablescape

Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Before Christmas decorating begins, I wanted to share with our Thanksgiving tablescape with you.
Mr. DIY brought me a colorful Fall bouquet and I used those colors to inspire my table.

All the dishes, candlesticks, napkins and tablecloth were shopped from the house. The soup tureen that the flowers are in was my mother in laws.

The dishes are what we use every day...Mikasa Italian Countryside. The glasses are vintage
"Boopie". Placemats, napkins and tablecloth were purchased at HomeGoods.  Flatware is by Wallace.

I found the chargers at Walmart a few years back.

The turkey was huge this year! I ordered an organic, free range turkey from Earth Fare this year that was supposed to come in between 16 and 20 pounds. It was 21 pounds! That's quite a bit for only 4 people.

Now that we've had our Thanksgiving turkey, it's on to Christmas decorating and festivities!
Hope you are doing something fun this "Black Friday". Would love to hear if you went shopping today and what great deals you've found!

  2. Hi Pam, as usual your tablescape is lovely. We use our 'every day' dishes too for holiday meals. My grandmother gave them to me many years ago. They're Ivy Lane by Noritake.

With my daughter out of the house, we bought a 3' Noble Fir & I decorated it with white lights; silver & white balls, white starfish & other small white & silver glass ornaments. I HATE glitter (who came up with that stuff anyway?), but my large starfish tree topper was screaming for a little sparkle. So I lightly sprayed it with glittery white paint. We loved it. Can't wait to be inspired by your creative Christmas ideas this year.

  3. Your Thanksgiving table is lovely, Pam. I'm glad to see you're using your white "every day dishes" dressed up for the Holiday. I've downsized my dinnerware to only one set. . .white. You've inspired me with the way you've used white here. Well done. xxx ~ Nancy
