A Little Painting Project

How have y'all been?

I haven't posted in awhile or been on Facebook or Instagram much since Sunday June 28th because I had a.. a...
well, we'll just call it an episode...

and leave it at that.
If you'd like to know more about what happened. You can read all about it on the my other blog.

I'll just say that it was probably the most awful almost 3 weeks of my life and I was in bed most of the time.

With things piling up.
And projects to do.

Mr. DIY had to work all day and come home and do everything I do, plus take care of me.

Today I decided I was going to do a quick little project to help me feel like I could do something.

Anything to make me feel like I accomplished something other walking to the kitchen.

Have you ever been there? Maybe you've had a week of sick kids where all you could do is barely get dinner on the table and keep the kids bathed and in clean pjs. It was like that.

Back to my little project...
This outdated vase was on the armoire in our bedroom before it was painted. If you missed it, you can find our bedroom before and after HERE.
The bronz-y gold color just wasn't cutting it with all the lighter paint colors.

So I mixed several colors of craft paint together that I already had and created a nice shade of blue.
Note to self: get to Michael's and buy more craft paint with the gift card you have.

Here's what I ended up with.

I love the way it turned out. I especially love that it didn't cost anything and that I accomplished
SOMETHING!

Yay!

Hope you're having a fabulous day and that you get something accomplished that makes you feel good.

Pam
