The Breakfast Room Is Ready For Christmas

Can you believe December is already here?

My how time flies!

I didn't get a head start with our Christmas decorating since we had guests for Thanksgiving, but I started decking the halls in a few spaces around the house the past few days.
I'm not going overboard this year and we don't have a lot planned for December.  I'm trying not to overdo things since I'm starting to feel good lately and will keep the decorating to a minimum - if it's at all possible.

The Breakfast Room is the easiest room to decorate. As I've said before, it happens to be my favorite room to decorate for any season.

Set the table, hang some wreaths in the windows, decorate the chandelier and put a few decorations on the side table and your done. Nothing fancy or overwhelming.

I found some black and white Buffalo Check ribbon on Ebay and thought it would look good mixed with traditional Christmas red, green and gold.

The placemats were purchased last year at HomeGoods when I went to visit my dad in SoCal, but this is the first time I used them. The ruby red glasses were purchased back in the 90's . The little silver votives were found at Target a few years ago. A mix of old and new, with everything in between.

It may be gloomy outside, but inside looks cheery.

My herb boxes can be dressed up to look pretty and are still functional.

The Breakfast Room is ready for Christmas.
Are you still decorating or is your home all decked for the Holidays?

  1. I've always seeing this dining area in your home. Your table looks cute- I noticed the black and white ribbon tied on the footed bowl right away- great choice! Love how the chandelier looks too! The little wreaths in the window look so festive along with the red checked pillows on the chair. Praying for your continued health improvement!
