Patriotic Porch For Independence Day

We love sitting on our front porch in the evening after dinner. The porch gets morning sun, so it's not too warm in the afternoon.

The ferns are still hanging in there despite the warm summer temps. I keep them watered at least every couple of days.

For color, I stopped by our neighborhood Lowes for some flowers, which is about 5 minutes away. I purchased some red Gerbera daisies since they lasted a couple of years in a container. I may plant these in the garden next Fall. I also brought home some white Vincas and 1 white begonia. I plan on planting the Vincas in the front garden since they like full sun and the sun doesn't shade the front flower bed until about 2 or 3 pm.

I got a little surprise with this Gerbera Daisy...it had a double flower on one stem. I haven't ever seen a double headed flower before, have you???

I love these pillow covers that I found on Amazon.com.

No wreath this year...I really need to find one for summer.

That about covers our Patriotic Porch. Hasn't June flown by so fast? It's hard to believe that the 4th o July is next week!

Happy Independence Day!

Pam
