I just want to say thanks for all the nice comments on my last post "My Favorite Outdoor Space". You all gave me such a warm response! I would really love to have all of you over for a visit!
Now to the progress on my youngest daughter's bedroom...
Slowly, but surely, I have been finding things for her room. It takes time to find just the right piece or accessory, especially when you are on a budget & have a daughter with finicky taste! If you'd like to see some inspiration photos on what we are aiming for in terms of design for this room, you can click here. Below is a mosaic of some items already in her room.
I had not finished this space because we were missing a few key pieces such as a wide dresser, nightstand, headboard, another lamp and some accessories. I have found most of those items which I will show you below.
Remember the lantern I found at HomeGoods and filled with some things found in my craft room? She now wants to do a coastal theme inside. That's easy enough, don't you think?
I found a cool retro dresser on Craigslist that she liked in the photo, but doesn't like in person. Oh, well. Still going to use it. I am going to refinish the hardware in brushed nickel. Now if I could just get it upstairs to her room and out of the family room : /
I found this cute headboard on Craigslist just this week. The gold is going to be refinished in silver, but not sure what color to paint the headboard.
I love the little shell detail
Here are the other accessories that I found (at HomeGoods & Marshalls) That my daughter likes : )
I haven't found a nightstand yet, but there is an extra one in the basement that will be repainted.
So, you see that I still have a ways to go before my youngest daughter's bedroom is completely finished, but at least all the major components are purchased.
Hope you are having a great day. Come back soon!!!
