A Fabulous Time!

The I Love Thrifting event this past Saturday was a great success! It was so much fun meeting up with so many at the Charlotte Habitat for Humanity ReStore!

Here are some of us... You might recognize the Nester in the back row, 3rd from the right (she was the Charlotte host) and Mr. Rashon Callaway sitting in the center. It was his idea to do all of this just a few weeks ago. I'm not sure what the final count of cities that participated, but they were nationwide and I know there was one even in Sweden! So cool.

Here's a photo of me with Rashon and Kim from SuperChyc

That's Christa from Brown Sugar Toast posing with Rashon. She is so cute! Look at her baby bump!

Rashon and Nester hammin' it up for the cameras. Do they even say that anymore?

We were having so much fun talking to everyone, I couldn't concentrate on shopping.
I didn't even notice there was china in the cabinets until I got home and looked at my photos! Maybe that's a good thing!

This ReStore had lots of shutters...

And mantels...

and lights just waiting for a transformation ...

These curved back shell design bookcases must have been pulled out of an old home.

After shopping ReStore, we met up again at a nearby Goodwill.
Some went on to an antique mall, but I went home to work on my daughter's bookcases.
I would say this event was definitely a success!
Can't wait for next year's I love Thrifting event...but hope we have another meetup before that!
