Hope you all had a great weekend and did something fun!
My youngest daughter has been asking me for something to organize her jewelry for quite some time now.
It's not that I haven't been thinking about it, but I just couldn't come up with the perfect set up for her.
My oldest daughter had a great set up in her armoire. If you haven't seen this post, you can see it HERE.
We set up a hair/makeup/jewelry station for her inside an armoire we found on Craigslist.
This is what the jewelry part looked like:
My daughter already had a cute ring and earring holder and wanted me to do something for her necklaces. Found these hooks at Hobby Lobby this past week that didn't cost too much, but it was the wrong finish.
My daughter wanted her necklaces on the inside of her closet door.
I had some off white spray paint, so I painted it, then sanded off the finish on some spots. Her room is Shabby Chic style, so it would fit right in.
Here's what the inside of her closet door looks like now:
Awhile back I painted and covered her little dress form to hold one of her necklaces.
It works for now...and I didn't have to make a big production out of it. Overthinking a solution is not necessary.
Anyone else do that, or is it just me???
Hope you had a great weekend!
Pam

Your daughters are very lucky! They have a very talented mum:)
ReplyDeleteThat is such a cute idea, Pam. Love the new color!
ReplyDeleteThe new hooks looks amazing. I love it. The armoire hooks are also amazing. Great storage ideas. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeletePam what a great solution and oh so pretty too! Martina
ReplyDeleteOnce again, you've done a great job! So simple, but you got it right. Lucky daughter!
ReplyDeletePam, this was a great idea; and it fits in so well with her decor! Aren't you the crafty mommy? LOL! Very pretty solution!

I love that you take something ordinary and making it extraordinary! So smart! I will have to do a post on my necklace holder! You are so crafty!
ReplyDeleteThat is a really cute idea Pam. I saw something similar at the Homerama event and the girls with daughters loved it. Good job!
ReplyDeleteSuch a nice idea! So pretty and functional too! Your daughter must be very happy with it!
ReplyDeleteA great example of how to find storage solutions in every square inch of the house. Some day if you move the new owner will appreciate those hooks.
ReplyDeleteI've got a jewelry problem too. I have a jewelry armoire but it's pretty full. I've thought about hanging on the door but was worried about them getting tangled from opening & closing all the time. Has that been a problem?
ReplyDeleteThat looks great, Pam! I hung a rack similar to that and dabbed a little paint on each screw and they blend right in and don't show a bit. Bet your daughter loves it!
ReplyDeleteThose are such great ideas, Pam. She must love the new set up.
ReplyDeleteLike everyone else I need to resolve this. Currently into divided plastic trays but doubt that will work any longer than anything else.
Jane
Great idea! And yes, I agree, overthinking a solution is NOT necessary!
