Art Supply Warehouse

All of you do it your selfers, crafters and just plain creative individuals will love our second stop on our Spring Break California Shopping tour!
Art Supply Warehouse is one of my favorite stores in Southern California. Art supplies sold at a great price.  What a great combination!  I had a difficult time concentrating with all the eye candy.  You'll know what I mean when you get to the end of this post.
Look at that beautiful blue sky! It's so blue because it had been raining just a few hours before I took this photo.

Ok, so here's the marker aisle. I love markers. Major drool on this aisle. Silver & gold paint markers, calligraphy markers, art markers ... you name it, they have it.
They have LOTS of books! This photo doesn't show even half of the book section. Subjects include Architecture, Interior Design, Photography, individual artists, crafts, etc. All at a discount. :)

Ah, I remember this aisle from when I took some Interior Design classes at OCC. I should have taken the photo from the other end because each individual slot is a different color mat board. ( these are used  for presentations)

Here's where I started to get giddy! The first paper aisle. See how it goes waayyyyy back.

And here is where I totally lost it. I will show you why ...

The stacks are filled with large sheets (about 2ft x 3ft ) of paper like this:

and this

This one was very interesting. It looks like it's woven.

Love, love, love, the black & grey floral.

This sheet was translucent. It also came in pink.

By the time I finished looking around on the paper aisle,  I couldn't think! I wanted to buy one piece of every design, but I kept my wits about me & remembered I am trying to clean out my office, not  fill it up with stuff. If I think of a project where I could use one of these beautiful papers, I will call my brother or sister & ask them to buy one for me & send it in a tube! I was really good and only bought some markers and  a couple of  C-thru rulers.
Art Supply also has a website, but it's definitely better to stop by for a visit if you are ever in the area.
There's also an In n Out Burger down the street, which makes the trip even better!
After our trip to ASW we had lunch at a different In n Out, then off to another favorite craft supply store called Fabric Barn.
More on that later...

  3. Pam, what a great store. I would take that cute paper with the birds and bird cages on it and frame it. What great art that would make.
