It's a little sad when the last of the fall color is gone. This fall has been pretty spectacular, though, and the fall colors have really lingered.
We still have a teenie bit of color around town, but we're expected to get rain tonight all of the rest color will be gone by this weekend. That's where pansies come in! Their sweet colorful flowers last all winter and through May in our part of the country.
My planters were looking a little sad after my chrysanthemums died because it stayed so hot through the end of September.
These flowers make me smile just looking at them!
The planters on the deck were looking pretty sad too!
Here, they are after. My cat Buddy sleeps in the center pot, so I can't plant anything in there!
Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Pam
Pam, your pansies are lovely. I must get some planted soon. Happy WW.
ReplyDeletePam, those are pretty and I usually have some planted by now, but just haven't gotten around to it yet plus it has been too hot for them. I used to plant them in the yard until the deer started eating them.
ReplyDeleteYour pansies are so cheerful. Happy Thanksgiving! La
ReplyDeleteI can never keep flowers alive... your pansies are lovely.

I do not have much luck with pansies. Lot of people here have very pretty beds of them. I really like the color of yours.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful pansies! I haven't gotten mine planted yet. Great pics!

What a difference- I love how pansies are so "happy." They always make me smile.
ReplyDeleteI'm visiting your blog for the first time and I looked at a few of your garden posts- I'd love to have you link up to the Tuesday Garden Party at my blog, www.AnOregonCottage.com. You obviously have a green thumb as well as a designer's hand!
The pansies really dressed everything up with a pop of color. Happy Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteI love those pansies! They help get me through the winter when everything else is dormant or dead. They are so hardy, too.

That's funny about the cat! The things we do (or don't do) for our pets!
