For All Those Flying This Holiday Season

Sorry this is so off topic, but I wanted to spread the word so you could be aware of what is going on and so you won't get caught off guard if you are going to fly this Holiday Season, especially in the next week.
Many people are upset by the new procedures at airports in the past week or so and hopefully something can be done about it. Search the Internet as this is going on in all US airports & there are many other complaints besides the one in the following link:

You should never have to explain to your children, "remember, that no stranger can touch or see your private area, unless it's a government employee, then it's ok."

Needless to say, I have written my Congressperson, both my Senators and have posted on many politicians' Facebook page to stop this insanity!

Thanks for listening!
Pam

  1. I read the whole story and its so disgusting... Pam I feel those who has some power in their hand they feel themselves something on higher level, they think they can go for anything and people dont complain about it. and nowadays because of terrorism air journey become more sensetive issue so they play with that... Its very important what you and she is done, because we need to talk about it, just tell people that things are not going in correct direction...on the name of checking its really humaliting...

  4. Pam, I had not realized they were in full pat down mode now. OMG! I have heard about the new scanners being too revealing though. I rarely ever fly these days and will certainly think of other alternatives even more so now!

  5. This is a hard issue. On one hand, if there were an incident and people lost their lives, everyone would be up in arms wondering why there weren't procedures in place. On the other hand, it's a complete invasion of privacy and borderline molestation. I'm also wondering if the scanning machines emit anything hazardous to our health.

  6. Wow... that is awful! A full body pat down is a bit over the top isn't it??? I don't think I can fit a bomb in my vagina or my labia. That is horrible that she had to suffer this. I flew right after 9/11 and flew often the next two years after that and was never treated that way. What a shame and how sad. I remember when I used to walk to the gate to meet Tom when he came home from a flight! Oh how times have changed!

  7. Thank you for the idea to contact my congressmen about this invasion of our privacy. I just contacted them. I certainly will not be flying until this is changed. Maybe when the airlines feel the pinch, they will add to the uproar and something will be done.
