Just finished up with our raised beds about 30 minutes ago. I think this is the fourth weekend working on them.
Today we added 12 bags of compost and mixed them into the beds.
Mr. F. dug up the valves in the black box, added another line for the drip irrigation and straightened up the cockeyed white pipe that was driving me crazy! Then we added 6 bags of rock on top of some black landscaping fabric to make a two foot path for access to the hose bibb and for the electrical panel. Whew! We're both tired and it's close to 80 degrees outside!
I started my seeds in this tray a few days ago and I'm waiting for them to sprout. I thought I'd start them in a tray just in case we get another frost. We aren't clear until the second week of April.
Hope your Saturday has been productive and/or fun!
Pam
It's looking good Pam! That was so smart to add the rocks to access that area.
ReplyDelete80 degrees?? Enjoy that--it just started snowing here. :)
Have a great weekend!
Pam
Looks great Pam!! Can't wait to see what you add to it. Martina
ReplyDeleteOh I have been working in the yard too. Mine doesn't look nearly as ready as yours. I can't wait to see it all planted. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteSeriously impressed! What did it look like before, Pam? Did I miss that post somehow?! Can't wait to get into a home this year and get my hands in the dirt :)
ReplyDeleteHow exciting!
ReplyDeleteIt looks fantastic Pam! I can tell you are going to have the best garden!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
What a job WOW...I am really excited to see it all come together though.
ReplyDeleteOk now you are making me mad! April 2nd and your fear of frost is gone!! LOL.. how about June 2nd!
ReplyDeleteWe can get a frost up here until early June here...I can plant in May but I have to go out and cover up the tender plants when the threat of frost exists. Anyway.. this is great! Very smart use of a sloped area too! You will have great results from this! Smart cookie!
I know you're happy to have that done. As much as I love working in the yard I'm always happy to be finished! We're in 80's here & it's been wonderful.
