My DIY project this weekend was a simple one. Ya gotta love those! It was definitely much simpler than redecorating a bedroom or doing a living room design or even searching for master bedroom ideas and only took about 5 minutes of my time. It was the perfect spruce up in between planting and spending time in the garden~ which is where you'll find me much of the time now that Spring has arrived.
This basket has been on my front door for a few months now ever since the Christmas wreath came down. The red basket is really pretty, but it really needed a little changing up and I didn't want to spend any money buying or making a new wreath or door decoration.
No Problem! I just happen to have a few cans of spray paint in the garage. How about you?
Avocado was my color of choice and there was just enough left in the can to do the job.
Here's what it looks like now...
This is exactly what it needed.
Gotta love a Spring change up for ZERO money!
Now on to the rest of the front porch...
Did you work on a project this weekend or did you just have a little R & R?

The basket looks amazing. I really need to do something for my front door. It looks so bare. It was in the 90's so I didn't work in the yard, but I did work in the house getting Spring going. Enjoy the Spring weather. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteYes! I did spray paint too. An antique planter... I'll try to do the post on it later this week. yep, spray paint is the best!

The new color looks great on your door. Mine is black too, and the lighter shades seem to look better for me as well =) Happy Spring!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea to paint it. I made one too but with a metal vase. I'm looking forward to changing the flowers through each season. I have lime green hydrangea on mine with a sprig of spring buds and greenery. You did a great job! Visiting from BNOTP.
