Hope you all had a fantastic weekend!
We were able to get a much needed project finished, which I will tell you about another time. Sunday, was much different as we spent the afternoon taking a very long nap after church and lunch.
Mr. Fanatic definitely needed it after all his hard work.
Hopefully good weather has arrived at your home...we are back to cooler weather and rain, but we definitely needed it. But, last week I was able to freshen up another planter on our deck.
The planter looked pretty tired and needed sprucing up.
I went out and found a new coco liner, which had to be cut down.
After cutting the liner to fit, it was filled with new potting soil.
The container was filled with geraniums, creeping Jenny and ivy.
So much better.
I added two plants with silvery foliage to fill in the sides.
Seems this year I am really loving geraniums.
If you would like to see my other Spring flowers for our deck, you can see them HERE,
and my front porch flowers are HERE.
I've also planted veggies in several raised bed containers and you can find them HERE.
What plants and flowers are you growing this year???

Pam, I love the contrast in colors. We built one raised garden planter yesterday and am so excited to have some fresh veggies this summer. I love yours and if this works out we may add more next year. Now I need to spruce of the poor deck, too.

I just built a new raised bed for veggies this year . Can't wait for it to warm up enough to plant them. Here in the north it can't decide whether it wants to be spring yet :(
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I had a couple of hanging baskets with the coco liners & they NEVER do well. Is there a trick that I don't know about? My geraniums look really good right now too. I also have several pots of Impatiens on my patio that are doing great. Our weather's been great until this weekend. It rained & got cool. Tonight it's going to be 43!!!
ReplyDeletePam, your planter looks great! I love red geraniums, too. I spent the weekend working on pots for the front entry. Almost there! Love yours!
ReplyDeleteThis is our year of "watch and learn." It's the first full spring that we've been in our house and we're trying to figure out what's alive, what's not and what needs to be tweaked.
ReplyDeletePam, your planter looks gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHere visiting via the nester. Following you now! :-)

You pack them in Pam. It is gorgeous. Makes mine look puny-must redo it now.
ReplyDeleteYour planters are all looking fabulous Pam, I love the geraniums and the ivy is so pretty hanging over the sides. Your garden looks amazing too. How fun. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteYour planter looks lovely. I love what you are doing with your garden generally.
ReplyDeleteThis year, I've got a crush on pansies. But my planter is not even half as beautiful as yours!
ReplyDeleteI did lots of geraniums this year and petunias everywhere too. I love your planter with the geraniums and ivy. It's very pretty! Your garden area is wonderful and has me so envious! Fresh veggies cannot be beat!
ReplyDeleteLove how bright and cheerful your planter looks on the deck. I like planting red and pink geraniums in containers, they add pops of color in every corner and so easy to grow:) I love how you paired the ivy with the geraniums, they look gorgeous together. We have raised beds for our vegetable garden as well, looks like you have a head start on yours... looks great:)Happy gardening!Hugs,Poppy
