I was just out sprucing up some things for our porch with some spray paint from Valspar. As you've heard me say before, spray painting something you already have is a great way to get a new look for a little bit of money...zero money if you have some paint left over from another project.
While I love the new design of the capless cap, (you merely twist the cap instead of taking it off), the button was really difficult for me to push with my index finger.
I would love to know if any of you have used the new design and if you had the same problem. I've already contacted Valspar relaying my experience, but I would love to know what everyone else thinks~

PS~ here's what I'm working on:

I just recently used the new can and I had no problems at all, maybe its just a "bad can." Can't wait to see your project completed.
ReplyDeleteI was just going to buy this at Lowe's tomorrow for another spray paint job... well, I'll try it and let you know! I'm going to paint a white, standard looking trellis with the green!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter Pam.
Haven't tried that brand yet. I have been using Rustoleum over the last few days on a project I am working on and my index finger nerves are shot! I wish they would make the spray cans with triggers instead of buttons. I have a plastic trigger that I can put on the spray cans but can never seem to find it when I need it. It doesn't look like it would fit over the spray buttons on those cans. Hope your project turned out well!
ReplyDeleteI have some spray painting projects that I am wanting to tackle here pretty soon. If I wind up using a Valspar spray paint, I'll let you know how it worked for me.
ReplyDeleteI havn't tried the new can. I love the bench and the planter, can't wait to see what you're working on. Hugs, Marty

I used one of these cans recently at my daughter's. My fingers always run out of steam before the can runs out of paint! Let us know if you hear from Valspar.
ReplyDeleteI recently painted a patio set, (table and 4 chairs). By the time I was done using 4 or 5 cans, my finger was numb. I decided this was not for large jobs. I liked the paint, not the can. Interested to hear what Valspar says. Loved your porch redo. Looks very inviting.
