It's A Gray, Drizzly Day

Do gray days make you feel melancholy?

It's another gray day here in our little part of the world.

It's a little drizzly too.

Makes me want to curl up with a good book my laptop and stay in bed all day blog hopping...or

...spend all day searching  for a quaint little farm house with a running creek in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Gray days leave me wishing Spring would hurry up and get here.

so the trees would sprout little green leaves beyond my windows.

In the meantime, I'll enjoy the quiet gray days until the sun returns
with a cup of hot tea and a good blog...

What's your best cure for gray, drizzly days?

Pam

  1. HI Pam. I am doing the same as you! Reading blogs, watching a good movie and a little take away chinese for lunch! I am holing myself back from "spring-ing" up my house! So hard to decorate for that time between Christmas and spring! I love your blog - enjoy your rainy day! It' is nice to have a excuse to stay in once in a while! ~ Lisa

  3. Soup or shopping! IDK why, but for some reason I love soup on a rainy day. I am off today and it's drizzly outside here too. Your snowflake prisms are very cute and I'm still loving your herb boxes. Have a good afternoon!

  4. The rain is finally hitting Georgia today after much sun. CC says it has been raining for days in the mountains where she is in college. I get blue in rainy weather. I do like to lay around and read and not go out.

  5. I feel the same way as you...gray days should be spent snuggled inside doing something mindless! It's sunny here but cold so it looks like spring outside my windows but only 30 degrees. Yes, the Blue Ridge Mountains sound good!

  6. I just wrote a post about depressing the weather is here. If I could be at home I'd be on the sofa with my electric throw & my Nook!

  9. A gray day is perfect for sewing, especially using cheerful fabric or embroidering with beautiful threads.

  10. I also use those days for reading my favorite blogs, looking for inspiration. Then, I go around the house tweaking things!

  13. I have plenty of those here. It's the hardest part of winter for sure. I bake, organize, do laundry and HGTV plays in the background or music. Sometimes though I just have to get out of my house so I run to town and do errands and maybe go to a store like TJ Maxx.

  14. I live in Ohio and it's gray all the time :( but not much snow this year so I'm thrilled. On gray days I like to grab a big stack of deco magazines and of course Pinterest and lounge on the couch, but not for long because something usually inspires and so I have to get up and give it a try :)
