Much Needed Stolen Space

Hello from the Mountain Cottage friends!

Every time we come up here, I'm grateful for little things. For one thing, a kitchen, still in the middle of a full reno, that has a faucet with running water. When you've had to walk to the other side of the house (which isn't that big) to get water from the laundry room, having a functioning sink and faucet is a BIG deal!
The bedroom and the world's smallest half bath upstairs are finished and I am grateful that it functions so well. We used every single inch of space that we could!

You may remember how we had to steal floor space to build a closet, since we stole the closet space + a little extra, to turn into a half bath so we wouldn't have to stumble downstairs to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. You can see that post HERE if you missed it.

In The World's Smallest Half Bath, we stole a little wall space so we could have a big medicine cabinet. If you missed the post about how Mr. DIY made it, you can find it HERE.

The inside dimensions are 22 wide x 28 high x 5" deep, which give us 2.77 square feet of storage. That's a lot in a tiny bathroom!

It holds everything we need, and then some! If we lived here full time, it would hold a lot more.

With a small space, you have to make every inch of space count!
We could  sure use some stolen space in our small hall bath at home. (it's already on the list)

What area in your  house could benefit from some stolen space?
Would love to hear about it!

Pam

  1. You guys are so smart with each step you take. That medicine cabinet space is valuable! Our house is small and we have a main bathroom that I want to steel the linen closet space from to make it accessible to the master bedroom.
