Drawer Organizers For The Mountain Cottage Kitchen

The mountain cottage kitchen is small and there are only two drawers in the entire kitchen. Since there are only two, they really need to have a custom organizer so each drawer can fit as much as possible.

Mr. DIY is in the middle of  a big project, but was at a point where he couldn't work on it and had a few hours last Saturday to squeeze in a little project with a big impact.

The small drawer is a narrow drawer and needs to hold a variety of knives and kitchen gadgets.
We took home the two huge French knives because we just don't need them at the mountain cottage.

The other drawer is holds flatware and a few kitchen gadgets.

Mr. DIY set off to Lowes to buy wood and started building from  a simple sketch with dimensions.

Building drawer organizers are like putting together a puzzle.

Mr. DIY really enjoys little building projects that he can finish in a day.

Now that the two drawers at the mountain cottage are finished, maybe Mr. DIY can squeeze in the four remaining drawers at our home that need organizers.

He already built a beautiful custom organizer for one of our large drawers and  if you'd like to see how Mr. DIY made  a simple custom drawer for our sofa table, you can find it HERE.
