Happy February Friends!
On a trip to HomeGoods several months back, I found this modern navy wing chair. The upholstered chair we had in our Master Bedroom at our previous house, didn't quite fit in the corner of our new Master Bedroom as it is about 6" shorter. The funny thing is, that the new chair is about the same size as the other chair (wider at the top,and inch narrower at the arms, same depth), but since it's curvier, it sits in the corner better and fits in the space really well. The other chair ended up in our living room.
Mr. DIY brings home flowers for me occasionally and they looked perfect on the little side table I found awhile back on Wayfair's website. I absconded this cute table from it's previous home in our Guest Room because it looks so perfect next to the blue chair.
We also previously kept a small ottoman in front of the old chair in our room, but it's now in the living room because I use it so often when I sit on the sofa. I think we should add making an ottoman for the Master Bedroom to our project list.
I found the ottoman on sale for $30 on Pier1 at least 10 years ago. Wish I could find another one for less than $100, but I've have looked and had no luck.
I borrowed the little pillow that used to be in the foyer. I moved the chairs that were in the foyer to the mountain cottage kitchen. The vintage chairs are smaller and fit perfectly in our little kitchen. They just need to be repainted, but I think I saved at least $300 because they were repurposed. You can see how I added the pillows to the vintage chairs I found in my grandma's basement and refinished HERE.
Do furniture and accessories get moved around your house too?
The silver sunburst mirror used to be in the basement family room at our previous house. I think it's perfect for this corner of the master bedroom.
Here are some similar items I found on Amazon:
I think the table on the left is the same as mine, but I found mine on Wayfair. Just so you know, the top isn't marble!
Mr. DIY will be back at painting the living room this weekend. I'll be happy to get the walls finished, but of course, the trim and fireplace surround now looks dingy and needs to be painted. A few other things will need to be lightened up, as well.
