One town in California that I would like to live in (if half of the people moved out of the Los Angeles area), is Seal Beach. It is a quaint little town that is fun to walk around in. It has a very long pier, a great family beach and some fun little shops. Our old church is just behind Main Street & about two blocks from the beach.
Visiting Seal Beach when we go back to Southern California is on the top of our list for every visit. Last week while my girls were on Spring break I flew out to Southern California with them. Sunday afternoon and evening was spent with family, but Monday morning we headed on over to Seal Beach.
It has become a tradition for us to go and have breakfast with Grandpa at the end of the pier at Ruby's diner. My girls still want to do this even though they are 16 & 17 years old.
Did I mention Seal Beach has a very long pier??? It is a very long walk to the end of the pier to go to Ruby's!
It was raining at the time we left for Ruby's, but when we were a few miles away, the rain stopped!
After breakfast we made the long trek back to civilization to do some shopping. The boutiques are very cute
Another shop that my girls request to go when we visit California is the "Shell Shop". How California is this place? Notice the beach cruisers. People were riding them everywhere. I want one...
When the girls were little I used to give them $2.00 each to spend. Choosing something used to keep them occupied & quiet for at least a half an hour!
This was just the first morning. After the "Shell Shop" we went on to visit a few more of our must visit stores in the area. But, I'll tell you about them later.
Thanks for stopping by,
