Well, I FINALLY took my Silhouette machine out of the box and used it to make the Congratulations Banner for Jenny's Graduation Party a couple of weeks ago! It was a Christmas present from Mr. Fanatic...It took me 5 months to open the box... C'mon, I know I'm not the only one who does this!!!
The first thing I have to say is...put the tutorial disk in and watch it! If you need some extra visuals, there are plenty of tutorials on Youtube.
It already came with a library, so after loading the software onto my laptop, I imported the letters into a new file and made them the size I wanted them.
It does a great job cutting out the letters.
This is what the paper looks like after you take off the cut letters.
Hmmmm, I could probably make some fabulous stencils, too!
I cut some larger green circles, then some smaller white circles...
...then used a glue stick to glue them all together. I punched two small holes at the top (at about 11 and 1 o'clock on the green circle~ sorry, no photo), then put a ribbon through.
Voila!!! Not bad for the first time using it!
Would love to make some screen printed pillows with my Silhouette. Anyone else have a favorite project you'd like to make with one?
