I am soooo excited!!!
For many, many weeks I have been lurking at all of the wonderful garage sale and thrift store finds that all of you have found and have felt sad that I have been too busy doing other projects and having a couple of garage sales myself, to even set foot in a Goodwill or go to other garage sales that my neighbors have held. (run on sentence - I know)
But .... I FINALLY took some time to go to a nearby Goodwill.
I really don't need much, except a few things to put on my narrow shelves since I took all of my family photos down because we have our house up for sale. I took a quick look through, but didn't find anything. :(
Then I noticed a Goodwill person bringing out a rack of things and noticed something really nice on it. The GW person had them on her arm & I went over to the rack she was going to put them on.
Here's what she had
two cut lace napkins...
Wouldn't they make a nice pillow? or look nice in a bowl?
a small runner ....
a table topper
and a large table cloth!
The total for all of these was $5.98 with tax! And, they smelled clean and fresh & were pressed, as if I had just picked them up from the cleaners!
I can't wait to set my table with these!
WOW that is awesome Pam...I would haver been all over that one too....I can't believe the price...those are beautiful and may be vintage I can't tell on those...but you will certainly make good use of them. Have a great weekend, and thanks for joining in. Debbie

Huge score! Can't you just imagine where they came from? Some little old lady might have lovingly washed and pressed them for the next person to enjoy. So glad you are that person!

Pam, those are so nice and what a fantastic deal!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! You got a bargain-and-a-half for a lovely set of table linens. They look 1930's to me for some reason. Somebody up there likes you ;)
ReplyDeleteI NEVER find anything like that at the local Goodwills. I don't believ the good stuff ever makes it to the sales floor. They are beautiful. Linens are my personal downfall--I love-em.
ReplyDeleteOooooh, you did VERY well at GW! Congratulations! I love vintage linens and sell them and vintage collectibles in my Etsy shop. These are fantastic finds! If you don't already know how to care for them and keep them looking like they do today, contact me! I'll give you some tips.
