A Pretty Tablescape

Last Saturday someone came to look at our house since it is up for sale. We cleaned the house from top to bottom and I decided to set our breakfast table since the tabletop is in need of refinishing and I don't really have a centerpiece for it.
I liked the table set so much that it is still set. Today, I decided to change it up a bit because I had some new things. I used my everyday dishes which are Mikasa, Italian Countryside.

Yesterday I found these cute little birdies while we were shopping in Blowing Rock. I found the green table runner at HomeGoods last week. I had totally forgotten about this urn and found it in the cabinet where I keep all of my vases.

I love these plants. I'm not sure what kind they are, but they hardly ever need watering and don't droop when they do.

My husband brought me some pretty flowers last week.

I wasn't sure if it would look better with out the plants. I like it both ways.

I took some burlap & hot glued it to the outside of the glass candle holder

Looks more like an Easter or Spring table, but I still like it better than a plain table that needs refinishing! Don't you think?
Hope you all have had a wonderful day!

Pam

  12. Pam,
The color, warmth and artful layers make this such a lovely focal point! You are smart to set this and keep it set while you are trying to sell your house.

I love your homegoods finds! I am a huge fan of homegoods~ great buys.

The creative burlap candles are one I will try. They give a beautiful texture to your table.

I hope you gave your husband an extra kiss for those pretty flowers.

  27. Love those roosters! What is it about roosters that we all love so much? Is it their attitude? They just strut around with so much confidence. You inspire me with your spray paint colors!

  28. Hopped here from Somewhat Simple . . .

LOVE your tablescape! My kitchen is pretty much the same colour as yours, and for some reason I've never thought to use that pretty colour of green as an accent. I think it's perfectly summery -- and we need to hang on to summer for as long as we can! :)

I also love the burlap on the candleholders :)

  39. Hi there! This is Megan from Mikasa. We love that you incorporating your everyday dinnerware - Italian Countryside - into such a beautiful tablescape. Gorgeous!

  40. You were very clever, creating a tablescape while your house is up for sale. Wished I'd known about tablescapes back in 2005 when we had our house up for sale. What would I have done for the month of January? Snowflakes? The realtor asked for pictures of our flowerbeds in bloom and people looked at them and asked if those flowers really under all that snow?

Are you changing the tablescape occassionally or keeping the same one? Good Luck; hope you make buyers realize how their table can look when they are entertaining. Hope you get a good offer soon!
