Hey everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful Father's Day & a great weekend.
It's always amazing to me how big of a difference a little paint can make, with very little cost...sometimes no cost if you have some paint left over from a past project! I don't know about you, but those no cost projects are definitely my favorite!
I bought this table at TJ Maxx a couple of years ago and painted it with a grey primer last year. Well, sitting outside on our patio in the woods over the last few seasons took off the finish.
It definitely needed a new coat of primer and paint on the top.
The legs were still ok, though. : )
I painted the top of the table with some primer and then brushed on a very light coat blue left over from another project.
Perfect! I decided to put my newly painted table on our lower level porch/patio.
The table is the perfect place for a couple of other new additions. I painted the terra cotta pot, as well.
The large container needed a fresh coat of paint too.
Can't wait to show you what else I did for this outdoor space. Hope you'll come back to see it!

ReplyDeleteThe table looks great Pam! love the color. it goes well with your planters.
ReplyDeletePam,
ReplyDeleteThe table turned out great.
Did you have to paint the pot with a certain kind of paint? (because of moisture in the soil)
Love the blue color of the table! Looks great!

Love how you've combined blue and green. So pretty!
ReplyDeleteHey Carol, The pot on the table was painted with spray paint which will be ok for at least a year. Next year I will paint it again if it needs it. Sometimes the paint cracks if the winter is really cold. The rim is painted with exterior latex paint. The large pot was painted with the latex exterior paint. I'm not sure how long it will last, but the container is chipped and cracked, so I this will probably be it's last season. The little pot was painted last year and didn't have any peeling or cracks in the paint, but I gave it another coat anyway.
ReplyDeleteLove the update on the table Pam! Great choice on the color too! Painting the pottery is smart, and allows you to give a new look whenever you want! I love your display on the table too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute little table! Love the shape and the colors you used on it!
ReplyDeleteBlues and Greens are some of my favorite combos. This turned out really well... you just need a glass of Iced Tea! :)
