Simple, But Pretty

Nothing fancy here today! Hey, it's summer and it's HOT, but that doesn't mean you can't take time to set a pretty table!

Went to HomeGoods yesterday and ya know what that means! I picked up a few things. I finally found a white pitcher that I liked. Had been looking for one for ages.

See, nothing fancy...it took all but 5 minutes. My girls used to set the table when they were little. I mean  4 years old. I gave them a photo of what the place settings should look like. I hope they still remember how to do set a table by themselves ~ they haven't set one in a long time.

I found the cute salad plates at HomeGoods, as well. $2.99 each. You can't beat that...ok, maybe at Goodwill or a garage sale. They go perfectly with the Gorham Breckenridge dishes I already had.

The chargers are from Hobby Lobby and the flatware is Continental Bead by Wallace.

Water glasses are from Target. These glasses get used every day.

Buddy popped his head in the window to see what I was doing. He's the sweetest thing...he will "make eyes" at me through the window by squinting repeatedly when I look at him. It's pretty funny. I get a little nervous when he's out there looking in at me because he's been known in the past to climb out onto the outside of the window sill where there's no deck below him and it's one story up (we have a walkout basement).
One day when I was cleaning the deck he was doing that and fell down to the flower bed about 12 feet below. Nearly gave me a heart attack, but he was ok. Funny, I haven't seen him walk the window sill since he fell. Hope he's learned his lesson.
Hope you are in the middle of a fantastic week!

Pam

  13. Very pretty! Love the white pitcher. I found one very similar at a yard sale this summer for $2. Mine was a bowl and pitcher set like they used on old washstands. I love it!
