Layla over at the Lettered Cottage is having a This Little Word Of Mine” link party. My word for the year is how I'm feeling about life.
My word is...
GRATEFUL
GRATEFUL
I saw this saying on Pinterest awhile back and I often think about how true it is, especially with the state of the economy of here in the US and around the world.
If you have food in your fridge, clothes on your back, a roof over your
head and a place to sleep you are richer than 75% of the world.
If you have money in the bank, your wallet, and some spare change you are among the top 8% of the world’s wealthy.
If you woke up this morning with more health than illness you are more blessed than the million people who will not survive this week.
If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the agony of imprisonment or torture, or the horrible pangs of starvation vou are luckier than 500 million people alive and suffering.
If you can read this message you are more fortunate than 3 billion people in the world who cannot read it at all.

Ungratefulness is one of my pet peeves.
Sorry, didn't mean to make you feel bad.
So, start each day with a grateful heart.
So true.
I have so many things I am grateful for that if they were listed here the would go on forever. I would like to encourage you to take the time every day and be grateful to God for the big AND the little things; big things like your family and health and little things like a comfy warm bed to sleep in at night.
I hope you will be grateful all year long and every single day.
Pam

ReplyDeleteYou chose the most perfect word...was all need to take a look at what we have and what others don't, and then be grateful.
