Did you know that hydrangeas are easily propagated? I saw it on Pinterest and Heirloom Gardener had some great directions on how to do it. The breakfast room is the perfect place to give it a try.
I cut up a few plastic bottles to keep the soil moist. This window only gets a little direct sunlight in the morning, so they won't get too hot.
I'm not sure how long it takes, but I sure would like to have some of these growing in my yard. These gorgeous beauties are from the other side of my veggie garden in my neighbor's yard. She brought me over a bunch the last time I gave her some home grown veggies.

Your neighbors hydrangeas look so pretty on your table. Your setting is very complimentary to them as well. Beautiful tablescape!
ReplyDeleteI love hydrangeas! Your cuttings look beautiful on your table Pam, such a gorgeous color! We have quite a few hydrangea bushes along the side of our house, but I just bought a new one and planted it on our pool deck, it's called the forever blooming hydrangea and the flower is a little different. I can't wait to see it when it gets bigger.
ReplyDeleteLove your tablescape and the hydrangeas are fabulous. Wish we could grow them here, so pretty. Can't wait to find out how your cuttings come along. Using the plastic bottles is a fabulous idea. Hugs, marty
ReplyDeleteIt's almost hard to believe that your hydrangeas are real!! Just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I love them too. That was sweet of her to give you some of her blooms! That's pretty neat about propagating them/ I would never have thought to try!

What a beautiful and soothing table!
ReplyDeleteI planted a beautiful pink hydrangea earlier in the year. I should've just put it in a vase in the house to enjoy because it appears to be dead, dead, dead! I can't decide if I'll try again next year.
ReplyDeleteWow, I just love hydrangeas too. Great idea to elevate them on your table. Your tablescape is lovely and your centerpiece is perfect.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! The hydrangeas are beautiful and so is your table setting. Where did you get your weaved chargers from? Lovely!
ReplyDeleteShermika, you have "no reply blogger" checked so I couldn't email you back. The woven chargers are from Ikea.
ReplyDeleteI love your hydrangeas!...those are the ones that dry wonderfully....they are just gorgeous on your table!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers! It's very rare to see flowers like hydrangeas in our country (Philippines) co'z it costs too much here, and I am really amazed on the beauty of it. It does really perfect on your table you made here!
