I think this is my favorite room in the house to decorate...
doesn't matter the season
It's not a large space and you can't really go wrong with long white flowing curtains, a neutral background and tall windows that let in a lot of light in the morning.
This year I decorated with traditional red and green.
I kept things simple with some red and white candy canes tucked in silver napkin rings.
I've had that mini Christmas tree in the background forever. It's dressed differently every year.
This year I decorated with pine boughs cut from the edge of the woods at the Mountain Cottage. You will see them all over the house...
I'm thinking my wreaths could use a big bow this year.
Thanks for stopping by.
I wish I could sit down with you for a cup of coffee or tea, but I'll be working on the rest of the house for awhile.
Seems that every room is 3/4ths of the way finished.
How are you doing on your decorating???
Perfect, Pam! Looks beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI too love the simplicity of red and green - so traditional and elegant. As of late, gold and red have been my theme - thinking I'm on to a new theme next year. Stopping by from Pinterest (@shopegirl).
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Pam!! Love the candy canes too:-)
ReplyDeleteOh I love this room too and I love the beautiful red and green. Your wreaths are so pretty on the windows and the tablesetting is gorgeous. Love it all. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteI am doing terrible with completing decorating this year. LOL! Hoping to wrap it up this weekend. I love this room of yours too. I especially love your wreaths, even without the bow. I like the pine look of them they look so much nicer then most of the wreaths I seem to see around the stores. I also love seeing all your pretty splashes of red. It's all so pretty!
ReplyDeleteLooks picture perfect Pam. Love the wreaths in the windows too. So pretty!
ReplyDeleteVery peaceful setting and very pretty.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Pam...I LOVE the wreaths hanging in the windows and the pretty vignette on the table near your windows!
ReplyDeleteIt´s so funny to see all this decoration from another country. I live in Denmark and to us this is not a simple decoration. Almost overwhelming! But beautiful. You would find our chrismasdecor very poor, I think, ha,ha...
ReplyDeleteVery pretty as always!!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty Pam, such a beautiful room!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Cindy
Hi Pam, I love your breakfast room. The table setting is SO pretty, love the cloche and I think I have the same cake stand! Where did you get the wreaths in yor window, they look like nice ones and I am thinking of wreaths for my windows for NEXT year!! I am DONE. I got "finished" before Thanksgiving but have been adding and tweaking ever since. I am on a house tour this coming Friday so want every room done nicely. Being in the new house it is a challenge. In the last house I knew where every single thing went. LOL. I love seeing what you do, it is always so beautiful!!! XO, Pinky
ReplyDeleteLove your tablescape, are the red glasses vintage? They are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI've noticed a lot of blogs have decorated in red this year, I know I added more red in my house this Christmas.
Have a wonderful rest of the week.
