I brought out an antique furniture leg that was found in my grandmother's basement many years ago and placed it next to some vintage books, along with an antique key and a tall candleholder.
I set out the Valentine Vintage Hearts and hung them on some bare branches in a crystal vase. I made them a couple of years ago from some fabric that my grandmother made me a dress out of when I was in elementary school.. Stop by that post to see how I made them...If you follow the link at the bottom of that post, you'll see a photo of me when I was about 8 years old wearing the dress my grandmother made me.
I think the Framed Chalkboard makes a great backdrop for just about any vignette.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Hope you are staying warm during this cold Winter month of January.
What are you decorating with now that all your Christmas decorations have been taken down?
So pretty. I love that chalkboard and the hearts are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteCute vignette- the hearts show up nicely in front of the chalkboard nicely! I like the old furniture leg you found at your grandmothers. When we got our leather recliners the front legs impressed me so much I said if those chairs ever wear out I'm taking the legs off to keep! Obviously someone saw value in that carved leg you found too! The white heart shaped dish is so cute! I haven't thought about Valentines Day just yet. I've got a couple of new posts showing my latest decorating. It was -13 this morning here! Brrrrr....
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! love your blog and have been following your cabin transformation, but noticed a couple of months ago that your posts no longer show up in my feed. Have you changed something? I'd love to continue following you. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHey Susan, but there wasn't an email attached to it, so I couldn't reply to your question. Not sure what's wrong with my feed. I know it stopped a couple of months ago, but don't know how to fix it. You could follow me on Pinterest or Bloglovin. Both links are in the upper right hand corner of this blog! Or follow me by email or Facebook. (I think Bloglovin is best and a great way to follow blogs)
DeleteThanks for your kind answer. I checked and it stopped on my feed 3 months ago. I'll try Bloglovin. Keep showing us the cabin transformation!
DeleteSusan, one more thought...try clicking on the RSS button on the far top rightside on my blog and sign up again. It's possible I may have deleted one of the feeds. I think two feeds were listed in feedburner and I think I deleted one with only a few followers.
DeleteI love it Pam! It looks so pretty!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty Valentines Vignette...love the tree! Your grand's hearts are so sweet, specially cause she made them for you, such treasures.
