I said last week that adding decorative accessories is the best part of our kitchen reno. It really is!
After my last post, several more Amazon boxes arrived on our porch. The boxes arrived all on the same day and it was Christmas in July.
I never know if I’m going to like something I haven’t seen in person, but as I opened each box, each item exceeded my expectations.
The first item was a wall clock. You might remember we previously hung a larger clock above the banquette.
Well, it didn’t look good there, so I ordered a small one to hang above the door across from the banquette.
So much better and easier to see from the banquette!
It’s made of plastic, but looks like distressed metal or wood.
The space above the window looked like it needed something, so I found this cute sign. The word blessed is printed on grey fabric and sits in a distressed wood frame.
It’s perfect!
The green wreath hanging in the window was also found on Amazon.
I love it. Now I have a small wood cutting board for both places.
The space between the two barn house lights will be next. It needs 3 or 4 smaller decor items since the thermostat is located in an odd space between the lights. We'll see what I can find.
I agree with you on the decorating department. It was so fun to get back in our lakehouse once the damage was cleaned up and we had a blank slate.
ReplyDeleteGood to hear that you did so well with Amazon. I really love their customer service. I've never dealt with better service. I'm working on a post about a recent large purchase from them and how they handled the issues.
I really like your clock...everything. The sign is very sweet. I would have thought it was on chalkboard had you not said fabric!
Enjoy!

I like your choices! The clock has a retro look and fits that spot perfectly. Love the blessed sign- it’s always nice to remind ourselves of the good blessings we have. The gothic style wall piece is great. I had one once with a mirror in the back. I should have kept it and popped out the mirror and painted it a different color and it would have been a nice updated accent piece. Your mountain home is so charming- I hope you get to spend lots of time there!
