Last Saturday we moved almost everything out of the Dining Room so we could start painting it. Still working on the trim and wainscoting.
We moved the Dining Room table into our Living Room. I love how the Dining Room table looks in front of the bookcase, so that's where this week's tablescape is set up.
A few weeks ago I ordered new white china and new stainless steel flatware. So glad to finally have a set of classic white dishes. Every girl needs white dishes because they go with everything! The pattern is Gorham Breckinridge. Found them for 50% off at Macys.com They are perfect for under the Bernaudaud Artois salad plates.
Vintage table square is a find from the Goodwill!
These dessert or cocktail footed bowls were my mothers. Anyone know what pattern these are? When we were kids, we used to make pudding & pour it in these bowls.
Here's my recent purchase off Ebay. I couldn't resist!
The new stainless is Wallace Continental Bead. (amazon.com)
So glad you stopped by!
Pam
The dessert dishes are called Boopie, made by Anchor Hocking. I have a very nice collection myself I gathered from flea markets and antique shows!
ReplyDeleteGreat looking dining room Pam! Stunning dishes and great photos...looks like you played with your zoom a bit:)!!~
ReplyDeleteOh Pam,I LOVE the new pitcher!! Don't have one of those either! The champagne/tall sherbet glass is very classic pattern by Anchor Hocking called "Boopie." They have them at replacements. I have some water glasses in that style. Love your table in the living room! Hopefully, after an addition, my LR will become my DR. Someday. Love your table setting. Very elegant and classic!!
ReplyDeleteI am glad i stopped by. this is inspiring. :)
ReplyDeleteHow fun to have your "dining room" in a new spot this week! It looks just beautiful and I totally love that new flatware! I'm looking for some and did you say where you got it from? It is the perfect balance of simple but with just the right embellishment. Great job!
ReplyDeleteVanessa
Thanks for letting me know about the glasses! Mr. Fanatic asked what I wanted for my birthday & now I know...Boopie water, iced tea and juice glasses! They are so pretty & also come in green, red and amber!
ReplyDeleteYour table is beautiful and I love how it looks with the bookcase!
ReplyDeleteThat pitcher is awesome!! I think your table looks so grand in front of the bookcase!
ReplyDeleteYour new dishes are gorgeous and so are the others. Love your new silver too. Beautiful setting in front of the bookcases, and the linens are a fabulous find from GW. Everything is so pretty and inviting. Your silver picther is gorgeous. I totally love it. I know you will have a ton of fun using that all over the house. Can't wait to see the dining room. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteTwice we used the living room as our dining room, since the living rooms were a bit larger and we loved having the bookcases (and once our piano) as backdrops. Love the look! Table setting on your furniture makes me miss our dining room set. When we downsized we sold it and made a newly wed couple very happy :) I only have one set now to decorate but enjoy the smaller home to clean ;)
ReplyDeleteYour table looks so pretty, Pam! You did a nice job. Your new china is beautiful and I really like your new flatware...I like the pattern a lot. I love the silver footed water pitcher very much, too!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Janie
Your dining room is lovely. Your tablescape is so very elegant. Love your silver pitcher!!!!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty Pam!!!
ReplyDeleteI have a question for you. We are going to put "hidden" storage along side the stairs (under) do you know of any type of panel or door that would disappear or look hidden (maybe wainscoting or something like that?) I am in desperate need of more storage for kitchen items and this area is in the hallway leading in to the kitchen but not kitchen Thanks for any suggestions
Very pretty table, you've been a busy shopper with excellent results. That water pitcher is beautiful, I'm such a sucker for silver. Thanks so much for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThis is a truly truly elegant dining room. I can only imagine the amazing dinners and conversations that take place here. I know you are excited for your updated dining room.
ReplyDeleteMr. Goodwill Hunting
Your table looks stunning! Love the white ones. You're right they go with everything!
ReplyDeleteI love your new pitcher. So pretty!
I like your new china and flatware. Great find on the silver footed water pitcher. Lovely table square too.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing how moving your dining room table from one room to another can make such a difference!??!?? It has such a stately look in the living room! I've been pestering my husband to make the dining room a TV room and turn our living room into the dining room since we use it so much. He's not bitin' so far! Happy wallpaper peeling!!!
ReplyDeleteSeveral manufacturers made your "Boopie" sherbet. It could be Imperial Candlewick or even Anchor Hocking. I've seen some on eBay, and Replacements will have it, too. We recently painted our dining room, too; but there was no room on the dining table for dining...it was covered with crystal from the cabinets in the dining room. I'm impressed that you were so organized that you could actually set a lovely tablescape. Thank you for sharing your charming design. Cherry Kay
ReplyDeleteI am sure Pam you also love a bit changed dinning table as we all love it... Your table runner is beautiful... pure vintage touch ... And pitcher... great one... sure if i see it I too cant resist... very lovely

Oh, I am so glad you asked about those footed bowls. I have a set too- they were my grandmother's. SO happy to hear what they are called.
ReplyDeleteYour table is lovely and something I could picture myself enjoying. I love how you have shown off the wood of your table while making it more genteel with the use of the white cloth. The new dishes, well, they are to die for!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful table, Pam...it does look great in front of the bookcase. The table square is gorgeous...I just love linens.
ReplyDeleteI drool & die for your dining set, Pam. How I love to have one like that (specially white one), goodness...
ReplyDeleteOh yeah! this area could be your dining room and it looks absolute fabulous. Job well done.
Blessings,

Yay! So nice to see your new white dishes. You are right every girl needs white dishes. I love those dessert bowls too, especially the little balls around the foot. Sorry I do not know what pattern they are, though. Your ebay pitcher is gorgeous too! Oh and your dining table does look really good there in the den. You certainly could use that bookshelf for a hutch if you didn't already have a new one. It's beautiful!
ReplyDeletesuch a pretty setting. Love your new white dishes (the little black dress of the table). Everything looks so elegantly put together.
ReplyDeleteOh, this is just lovely! I just got some new white china too and I am thrilled with it. That pitcher is soooo beautiful. Your linens are just gorgeous.
ReplyDeletePam, The water pitcher is beautiful. Bet you got a good deal. I especially like the table square and the way you have used it. Looks so elegant. You did good on the white china and the stainless. They are both classic and will go with anything. Hugs, ginger
