Pleasantly Surprised

A few days ago I was running errands and stopped in at Pier One. I wish I had my camera with me because the store was filled with so many great things.
One side of the store had several great tablescapes and so many wonderful dish combinations.

The faux fruit made me do a double take. The green apples look so real...

My cell phone photo doesn't do this combination justice...

I am in love with these distressed chargers...

I'm so glad I stopped in Pier One. A few of these might make it onto my Christmas wish list.

Pam

Just so you know: I was not paid or compensated in any way by Pier One for this blog post. I just wanted to share some of their great products!

  4. I wish it weren't 8:15 PM...I would be jumping in the van to my Pier 1 store. I love the poppy setting and also the chargers that you like. I wish I had an unlimited budget for tablescaping!

  9. Hi Pam,

I just finished having granite and tumbled marble installed in my kitchen to update it and just happened across your kitchen redo pics. I'm AMAZED at how similiar your kitchen is to mine! I think I started following you after your redo because I'm certain I would remember such a beautiful kitchen redo! Here is my dilemma.... I have a stainless frig with black sides and the rest of the appliances are black. As they go out, I'll replace them with stainless. My kitchen color is very similar to yours and my cabinets are a little lighter in color. I'm leaning toward brushed nickel cabinet knobs as they lighten up the room and match the finish on my new faucet but I'm worried as to how it will look with black iron brackets under the overhang on my island. I see you painted your brackets..... I've already ordered mine online but could return them. Your knobs look beautiful. Do you think I should stick with black knobs to match the iron brackets or would brushed nickel look okay????

  10. No kidding, I'll take a couple too!! Love all those combinations. I don't get there much these days, but I used to stalk that store. That glassware looks like some I got there, but mine is shaped just a little different. I LOVE those creamy chargers!! Great stuff!!!

  14. Don't let them see you taking pictures. The one in MVL (LKN) will not let you take pictures inside the store. Crazy to me b/c it's free publicity, if you blog. I saw those white chargers last week and loved them, too. Also thought the turkey & sunflower salad plates were cute and way too many Christmas decorations.

  15. I don't shop there much, too many beautiful and tempting goodies! But oh, if I had unlimited funds! That fruit looks real to me too even on your phone pics. I love the baskets they are in as well.

  16. Pier I is a great resource for dishes. You can find some great prices on salad plates and bowls that are nice for mixing with what you already own. One of my favorite things to do at the holidays is to give baked goods on a holiday plate from Pier I. It really makes the gift more special.
